My steps quicken
My thoughts of you are like Spring
blooming like the flowers.
Gathering honey like the bees
Echoes of play surrounding
Puling sounds of birds abound.
Clouds upholding the waters
Knowing that like tears they'll fall
covering all my sadness
Washing away all my joy.....
Till they dry by the noon days sun.

Where is the love I dream of,
the love that can never be?
Have I disgraced its bountiful deed
Or do I seek a ghost care for my empty heart?
Come hide under my branches, and let me comfort thee.
I dare not reach out to a spirit unyeiding-
And yet I dare to reach for the stars.....
I open my eyes and see a flicker, a diamond of hope.
The storm clouds of spring have brightened the summer sky.

Each season is like a lover's kiss
I fell upon your lips three seasons past
Then, cushioned by your loveliness
Your lips full...... with passion
have become a darker shade.
From the pinks of spring to the full reds of summer
I dread the winter before me...
For the cord of my blanket has been severed.
I feel the coldness in my bones
It chills my soul at dawn.
I reach for you and you are not there.

My eyes, watered by the winds, I do ponder
In the waters of my soul I drown.
I die only to live again!
The cracks in the streets have flooded
I gaze into rivers of ice.....
Melting with the coming of Spring.....
I stroll steadily now with caution
as my heart recalls that warm autumn night.
