In the silence of my heart
I heard a gentle sound.
A wish, that was muffled
by a beat, by a pound.
I listened closely,
I hush my soul.
I calmed my breath
that I may behold this gift.
In the clamour of my dreams
I heard a rage of scorn.
A cry, that was muffled
by a thunderous storm.
With more and more emotion,
I slowly lost strength.
And with a sigh
I beheld a flood of tears.
