I think of you as I climb over the fence to take a closer look. I focus on you and see that your shoes are too small for my feet. With aching toes, I walk with you till our surroundings are the same. I can only see that of which has shined, or does shine. With that in mind, I begin to see things a bit more clearly. I see a woman, with no other lables allowed. She is woman, and unlabled accept for this, I am man. Her feelings are tender...she knows how to love.
Our lives intersected at the corner of Passion lane. Thus we met, at Lover's Square. Clung to man, clung to woman, were hearts impaired and in need of mending. We rendevoused to Desire Fountain, and drank, did we, till our bellies were full. The moon became the sun, and the sun
became the moon, in a special blend of ecstacy. There was no East, no West, and North and South were combined as one. There was only one direction, the road that brought us together.
We'd stroll aimlessly, to this place and that. It didn't matter where we went, because we knew the star which shined above Passion Lane.
Suddenly, the seasons began to change, and our hearts did wander further and further away from Desire Fountain. Although, the star above Passion Lane still did shine, ever so brightly within our hearts revived.
One day, as we held hands in harmony, we kicked the green grass
beneath our feet and hopped on a horse and buggy. The rider gentleman, dressed in tuxedo and top-hat was a romantic at heart. One can just tell by his colorful smile. He pulled those reigns and stood up and down...
he bowed, tipped his hat, and bid farewell. I gave you my hand, as you
dismounted the coach in wonderment.
We sat down upon the damp green grass at the edge of Life's Creek. We took off our shoes and washed our feet and gazed at the
reflection of moonlight dancing upon the place where air meets water. Then we went home, though our hearts stayed there.
